Jesus is Selfless

Main Idea: The Son of God is by far the greatest example, concerning what it means to be a humble and obedient servant in this life.

1. Jesus and God are the same (vs 5-6)

2. Jesus came to serve & minister to all (vs 7-8)

Examples of Jesus' Humility:

1. Born in a manger at Bethlehem (Luke 2:1-20)

2. Prayerfully chose his disciples (Matthew 4:19)

3. Endure Temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-8)

4. Never cursed anyone and asked the Father to forgive them (Luke 23:34)

5. Willing to put every sin upon himself (Matthew 27:46)

Application: The greatest way for the church to stay humble, come by examining the life of Christ Jesus and what he did during his time on Earth.
